ALC CHILDREN MINISTRY

WHO WE ARE
The ALC Children’s Ministry is a Christ-centred ministry dedicated to nurturing and equipping children with biblical truths, fostering spiritual growth, and preparing them to live as devoted followers of Christ.

CHILDREN FULFILL VARIOUS ROLES IN LIFE:

  1. Children as Learners of God’s Word – Growing in faith and understanding Scripture.
    • Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
    • 2 Timothy 3:15 – “And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
  2. Children as Worshippers – Developing a heart of praise and adoration for God.
    • Matthew 21:16 – “From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise.”
    • Psalm 8:2 – “Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies.”
  3. Children as Disciples – Learning to follow Jesus and live according to His teachings.
    • Matthew 19:14 – “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
    • Luke 2:52 – “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”
  4. Children as Servants of Christ – Learning to serve others with love and humility.
    • Galatians 5:13 – “Serve one another humbly in love.”
    • 1 Samuel 3:10 – “The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ Then Samuel said, ‘Speak, for your servant is listening.’”
  5. Children as Lights to the World – Being ambassadors for Christ in their schools, homes, and communities.
    • Matthew 5:16 – “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father
    in heaven.”
    • Philippians 2:15 – “So that you may become blameless and pure, ‘children of God without fault in a warped
and crooked generation.’ Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.”

Mission
  • Proverbs 22:6 – Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
  • 2 Timothy 1:5 – I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your
